What makes an article a good read?

These are my observations from posts that I have enjoyed reading.
1) No spelling and grammatical errors. This one is a basic requirement and will make sure that your article is readable. I know there can be mistakes in my post right here, but hey, I am not saying that this is a good article!!,
2) Avoid use of redundant words. Example: "I basically mean" where just "I mean" would have been sufficient. Do not use more words where fewer would convey the message.
3) Always follow generic statements with actual instances,People like reading stories about other people.
4) Humour always make a piece interesting.
5) Its an art that can be perfected and like any other art requires lot of patience.
6) It is very easy to put in clichés, so one has to be very conscious of that. Clichés cannot be avoided all the time, then they would not be clichés would they?

Sanity

I think sanity is overrated. I am sure every Human Being has insane moments. I am not referring to crazy impulses, though I am sure they too qualify. I am referring to things people do without being aware that they are being crazy. For example the jerk who wants to know why he cannot install Matlab on Windows 7 in a seminar on cloud computing.Bunch of bike junkies who roar past quiet residential areas. People who have to honk just because they have one.Rich housewives who haggle with vegetable vendors outside their lavish bungalows. The list is endless.Or just plain you who shouted at your mom/dad/spouse/friend/colleague just yesterday.
I am sure if you sat and analysed your behaviour in the past few days, you will find instances where you would have acted differently in your saner self. So the question is not whether you are sane or not? But , whether you analyse your own behaviour or not? Do you question your actions? Accept that you can and have made mistakes? Are you always aware of your self? The lining between being sane and insane is very thin and we cross it many times.
